Vietnam’s Karate team targets to gain 4 gold medals at the 31st Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 31) to be hosted by the country from May 12-23. Before attending the 31st SEA Games, the Vietnamese karate team was directly exposed to the 2022 Southeast Asian Championship in Cambodia and since then each player has grasped the reality of their expertise and that of their opponents. As a result, Vietnam Karate Team won 5 gold medals, 5 silver medals and 3 bronze medals at the Championship. At this year’s regional sport event, the host Vietnam will send a team of 33 karate-ka to compete in kata and kumite categories. VNA Photo
